The Undateable (Librarians in Love)
Sarah Title
So this is unabashedly a romance, but it has a librarian as the main character, so I took a chance. Wow, this is way beyond genre: quirky, REAL character with real foibles, a side character who's gay, and lots of good humor--like the best Hallmark movies, only with the diversity of the real world! Anyway I hope they push her on to bigger crossover books and I will certainly read the next one!

Native American Food Plants: An Ethnobotanical Dictionary
Daniel Moerman E.
Recipe development for me, and research. I cook and garden daily. People starve in this country with food all around, because they've been trained to think the only way to get food is to go to a building. (Only one cause, I know.)

Pretty Tough Plants: 135 Resilient, Water-Smart Choices for a Beautiful Garden
Plant Select
A bit harder for me to garden except with native plants since i live in a desert that used to be scrubland transformed in 200 years to arid desert with sky islands and if humans keep it up a Sahara of sand dunes. Y'all might need this book in times to come.
