Short takes on fiction from March and April
A solid sophomore entry into a smart series exploring the goddess Diana's survival and presence in the modern world. But don't read it until you've read the first.
Sorry I spent the money. Was hoping for Joanna Trollope (The Choir, The Rector's Wife). Instead, a book that forces you into shifting perspectives in different people's heads, through diaries and letters. Problem is, they are all horrid. At least the first 50 pages. I did not torture myself any further.
Another strong entry in the series. Vampire politics! recommend the whole series.
Some very good insight into harem politics and the Indian/Muslim tradition. Well-written characters. Of course, the series is becoming as sprawling as history itself, but this one is worth the read.
So so wonderful exploration of what politics (is, and what it should be. And linguistics, done right. As adventuresome and enjoyable as any in the series! But not an entry point.
